The e-Visa system for Myanmar is operational again as of April 22
“We are pleased to announce that the server issues caused by the recent earthquake have been successfully resolved. Tourist eVisa application services will resume on 22nd April 2025,” according to a formal statement from Myanmar's government.
With Myanmar tourist e-Visa, citizens from 100 countries, including those in Europe, the United States, Canada, and Australia, can apply online for a 28-day visa.
Applicants need to provide a passport valid for at least six months and should have at least two blank pages for visa stamping, as well as a recent passport-style photo, evidence of a return ticket, and a confirmed hotel reservation. The visa normally takes at least three business days to process and can only be used for one entrance after it has been authorized.
With an e-Visa, visitors can enter the nation via the land border crossing with Thailand at Kawthaung, as well as the international airports in Yangon, Mandalay, or Nay Pyi Taw.
